The city of Faro is a cosmopolitan center, with plenty of entertainment, shopping and restaurants, though still retains its original charm, as may prove through a walk through the old city. The narrow streets are home to many local craft shops and will be difficult to resist the sweet almond in the area - the Dom Rodrigos - present in any bakery in town.
Traditional fish restaurants offer seafood specialties that often is fresh from reaching the estuary. You can also sample international cuisine almost everywhere in the city, and the shopping center Forum Algarve a varied food court.
It is a weekend organized by Feminis Ferventis - Women Tuna Académica do Algarve University and aims to bring entertainment to the people of Faro, as well as all students to this city moving. Already has twelve issues, always held in mid-November.
